About MEXC
MEXC is a global crypto exchange founded in 2018 as MXC and rebranded MEXC Global in 2021, known for one of the widest altcoin and futures catalogs in the industry. Its founders and beneficial owners are not publicly disclosed, and since April 2026 the exchange has been led by CEO Vugar Usi, who joined as COO in late 2025, alongside Chief Strategy Officer Cecilia Hsueh. MEXC launched USDT-margined US stock perpetual futures in July 2025 with a first phase covering COIN, HOOD, NVDA, AAPL, AMZN, GOOGL, META, TSLA and MCD, and has since built one of the largest RWA perp books among centralized exchanges, with roughly 330 contracts spanning stocks, ETFs, pre-IPO names such as SPCX, indices, commodities and FX under collision-suffix symbols like AAPLSTOCK_USDT. Contracts are margined and settled in USDT, with USDC and USD1 margined variants on some contracts, and funding on standard futures settles every eight hours at 00:00, 08:00 and 16:00 UTC. Stock futures traded in sync with US market hours at launch before moving to 24/7 trading, and MEXC is currently waiving trading and funding fees on many stock contracts under a limited-time campaign with no announced end date. The venue is an offshore platform open to global retail users outside jurisdictions restricted in its terms, and the Seychelles FSA identified MX Global Ltd as its operating company in 2026.

MEXC Global Ltd (Seychelles IBC No. 218833) was historically associated with the platform, was struck off the register in August 2023 and dissolved in December 2024. The Seychelles FSA identified MX Global Ltd (Seychelles IBC No. 238047) as the current platform operator in May 2026. Operational bases are commonly reported in Singapore but are not confirmed by the company.
Regulation
MEXC holds no license from any major securities or derivatives regulator for its global platform, and its RWA perpetual futures are offered from an offshore structure. In a press release dated 26 May 2026 the Seychelles Financial Services Authority identified MX Global Ltd, a Seychelles IBC, as the operator of the MEXC platform, found it in breach of the Seychelles VASP Act 2024 for operating without a license, and said it was initiating enforcement measures including referral for possible legal action. The FSA had earlier confirmed that MEXC Global Ltd, the entity historically associated with the platform, was struck off the Seychelles register in August 2023 and dissolved in December 2024 without ever holding a license. MEXC has also accumulated warnings and restrictions from regulators in multiple other jurisdictions and restricts US users in its terms.
